Honestly, thought you were suggesting he pulled a Blofeld like the Craig Bond films.

But anyway, none of the films have ever really explored Ethan pre-IMF; what's the issue?

 

if the performance was better i wouldn’t care. they’re adding a lot of stakes, and poorly written ones, for one of the worst villain performances in the series. it’s lame.

The films are overall wacky and fun which is what makes them good

 

I would say 2 does not fit that description.

i don’t think my take is that spicy, it is at best the 6th best in the series

 

sure I jsut think it's a big gap between 6th best and 7th

 

I just remember being incredibly bored the last time I watched it.

 

2 is at the bottom for me but tbh I don’t even dislike it. But that could be because all I’d heard forever was how bad it was - I went in with a very low bar. Interested to see what I think when I rewatch in May

 

2 is definitely the worst MI film, but I think it's still an enjoyable turn-your-brain-off blockbuster.

The entity is just such a goofy thing and it doesn’t help that they keep on saying “The entity” over and over.

it is because philip seymour hoffman isn’t in it

 

I mean DR has some fantastic female characters and the movie flexes that a lot I feel which is a plus. Venessa, Hayley, and Pom are so good.

 

Like Pom’s character hunting down Ethen and Hayley in that armored car is too good
