III also has the weakest set pieces, which for this series is fatal.

Again, I don't hate any of these movies. This is the best franchise

3 is good. Doesn’t it have the tennis balls on the roof? That scene rules.

My favorite thing about tying the new one to III is that it killed JJ's mystery box - which in a way is karma for him retconning Last Jedi in Rise of Skywalker

this reminded me of the last jedi (positively) and I can't really explain why

Decided to watch all of these this week because I've never seen one, and wanna see the new one in theatres. I am quite enjoying them, I've seen the first four now.

My ranking is 1 = 4 > 3 > 2. The fourth one had the best action so far, but I really enjoyed how the first one played out. The heist scene in the first one is still probably my favourite segment of them all but the hotel room switcharoo part from Ghost Protocol was really fun to watch. Will watch the fifth and six ones tonight probably!

caught a 10:20 AM showing of this today with my son and my dad. theater was almost full, which was a pleasant surprise, especially because walking in through the lobby it was all families with really little kids going to see kids movies at that time. whole theater was super into the movie too. I thought this was very good, although I felt the length watching it in the theater where I can't pause it to go pee or go for a walk or something. when TC was doing stunts though this movie was absolutely firing on all cylinders. awesome stuff, and really great to see on the big screen.

  16. Honestly didn't feel the length once we got into the action. First hour was definitely setup, but I think it was paced relatively well after that

yeah, that's probably more just on me not having watched a movie at the theater in a long time - my 10 year old son was fine sitting through the entire thing crushing soda and candy so

one of those obscene movie theater sodas too that's like the size of a fire hydrant

I went to the bathroom after the submarine set piece finished. I did the mental math of “this was a gigantic set piece and we’ll get a breather before the third act kicks in to high gear” and it seems I was right.

Normalize going to the bathroom during movies if you have to. Better to lose a couple min than feeling miserable for an hour+ of the movie

I didn’t go the entire time. Didn’t drink water or any other liquids for 3 days before hand.

  23. There is an app called Peetimes that’s whole purpose is to list a few options for bathroom breaks. Gives a time stamp as well as a cue line from the movie to remember to leave at, lets you know how long you can be gone for and provides a small synopsis of what you missed while gone. I don’t often have to use the bathroom during a movie, but I usually check the app beforehand anyway. It’s a nice insurance policy lol. Doesn’t really work for opening night/weekend though
