  6. I ranked the villains, action, and story of all three movies and still wound up shuffling things a little. I grew up with the first 3 and really have a soft spot for them. PSH is the GOATed villain of the franchise

  7. MI3 best Aaron’s right

  8. Ghost Protocol has all of the best tech and gets the added bonus (I think?) of doing the “mask machine is broken fuck it maybe they’ve never met” thing. I don’t really like the way a lot of it looks though and can’t put my finger on why. But it’s a fun tone shift following the intensity of MI3

The first movie is automatically the best because of Jean Reno.

    I'm not joking.

    I'm totally joking.

    Or am I?

    I am.

You may tire of me / I'm not who I used to be Prestigious

I need to do a rewatch of all before I even consider ranking.

Funny thing about Jean Reno. When I saw Godzilla 98 in cinemas I knew I recognised him, but I couldn’t remember the name, so I turned to my dad and said “is that Jay Leno?”

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One

    Mission: Impossible III

I think Fallout is unquestionably the best. My take is that it's the closest we got to Raiders of the Lost Ark in the 2010s

I like PSH but that movie does not work for me. I think JJ is the worst director they ever hired and domesticating Ethan was a pretty bad call.

Still, I find even my least favorite movies in this series watchable.

  25. Isn’t that one of the main topics of the movie? Why Ethan should not settle down? He is really only domesticated for the first few minutes of the film anyhow, after that it’s business as usual haha
