Tom Cruise checking everyone's popcorn buckets as they leave and if you still have popcorn, he makes you go back and watch the film again.

 

The popcorn thing has been so in focus for this promo cycle that I really thought he might reference it

I’m pretty certain there was a pre recorded message (for grimace specifically of course) for Dead Reckoning too

 

Wanna say I was scraping bottom of the bucket by the submarine scene. Speaking of… absolutely fuck that part where he squeezes through the torpedo chamber

 

Best scene/set-piece in the entire film

 

If it wasn’t for the sub and plane scenes, this is probably a two star movie; I’m probably an extra half star generous on these last two if I’m being honest. Kind of crazy how much better Rogue Nation/Fallout are compared to them.

 

Yeah, I’m claustrophobic as fuck so that was a bit much, especially as I already have issues with just the thought of being on a sub.

 

Also, Nick Offerman’s death was some Dark Knight Rises shit, lol.

 

There was one kind of obnoxious guy in our theater who during that scene I heard whisper to the person he was there with “he’s from parks and rec”

 

There was an obnoxious group at my screening that was watching it like they were MST3K but thankfully I couldn’t hear them most of the time.

Yea, the flashes to other movies did get old after a while. The one part they didn’t, but I figured they would, was when Ethan explains why Grace has to be the one to pull the drive. Ethan is quoting her from Dead Reckoning. I only caught it because I watched it a few hours before.

Fun movie. Enjoy the ride. It’s like the 6th best of these but still a good time

 

Unfortunately my auditorium was having issues with the AC so I was sweating the entire time

 

everyones talking about the plane sequence, but the submarine sequence is just incredible work
