This was my first MI film but I really enjoyed it. How do the previous films hold up?

In order: The first one somehow aged wonderfully. It was tied for my favorite with Ghost Protocol until a recent rewatch of GP. 2 sucks overall but has some moments toward the end. 3 is solid with an awesome turn from Philip Seymour Hoffman as the villain, Ghost Protocol (fourth one) is spectacular and the best one, Rogue Nation is great

As others have indicated, you'd probably loved Fallout more had you seen RN first

I'm really surprised it seems more people prefer Ghost Protocol to Rogue Nation. For me, the latter is much better for the simple fact that Rebecca Ferguson is so damn great. Paula Patton is boring.

I thoroughly enjoyed this; obviously a lot of it was over the top, like jumping the bush and falling perfectly onto the boat, or there being two bikes waiting for him and Henry to use, or the rope for some reason being tied to that 2nd helicopter, that for some reason waiting for a long time before taking off. Because all this was so obvious, it felt intentional by the directors, that it's just part of the story/franchise, so to just enjoy it and go along for the ride.

Also, the last scene on the ledge, that was filmed in Norway, haha; spot is called Preikestolen. This is me on the edge on that very ledge last summer

Despite the air conditioner being broken in the theater and the kid in front of me farting insanely loud during Luther's dramatic speech, this was the most fun I've had at a movie in a long time.

  6. This was a blast. It was especially cool because I was just in Berlin, Paris, and London so I saw a bunch of familiar places. Very cool!

There are a ton of ridiculous stuff, but the bikes were clearly set there as part of their plan

So scene where he jumped that roof, just barely, he broke his foot that scene, but still finished that shot, which ended up in the movie; crazy, haha

Just got out. Favorite of the franchise.

Also Justice League wasn’t going to be better if Cavill shaved his mustache. This movie NEEDED the mustache. Thank you Paramount.

Yeah Cavill without the mustache would have been terrible. His mustache is one of the most impressive aspects of the already impressive movie.

Enjoyed the fuck out of this film.

Didn't really get into the series until Ghost Protocol, but will eventually get around to seeing 1 (skipping 2) and seen the rest by now.

I only watched Rogue Nation for the first time the other night, where I've seen Ghost Prots several times. My take at the moment is that GP might be a little more fun, if only by a hair, but overall as a movie RN probably beats it out by just a tad. And like others have said, Rebecca Ferguson is a huge part of that. Her character kicked all sorts of ass. She was amazing.

I never got around to watching RN because I have to really plan out watching movies and make the time and in my head I honestly didn't think it could live up to GP. Nobody I know personally watched it, and all I remember around the time of release was reading about Tom Cruise hanging off the side of the cargo plane, which to me kinda seemed like a step down after climbing the damn Burj Khalifa .

I am very glad I took peoples' advice on here and watched RN. Fantastic movie, and now I'm ready for the new one.

Seeing this in a couple hours. Rewatched GP and RN the past couple nights in anticipation. May very well revist the first 3 as well after. Seen them all at least 3-4 times but it's a close second to James Bond as my favorite movie series haha.

Two gets a bad rep but I love it. It was my favorite up until RN. I would still watch it just so you can at least form your own opinion on it haha

Busy with commitments to the upcoming Avengers movie. He could very well return for the potential 7th film.

I loved 2 so much as a kid and it was the first one I saw in theaters. I was disappointed that it didn’t hold up on my last rewatch.

There are so many twists and turns in the second half, that as cheesey and cliche as they are, I enjoy the hell out of them haha.

Two was the first one I saw in theaters as well when I was 14, and have seen them all in theaters since (catching Fallout tonight). Watched the first on VHS in like 1999 after having loved the N64 game.
