Definitely go to the Farewell Tour. Went to Chicago in Wednesday and it was great. The guy in front of me flew in from Virginia and was drunk crying after so many of the deep cuts. Not gonna lie, I got misty-eyed during "Absinthe...." since it was the first MtB tune I heard back in 2006.

 

Can't wait. Seeing them in Philly next Saturday. Ive seen them every year for the past 10 years or so. Gonna be weird to see them go.

 

I wish the Boston dates weren’t sold out

 

I'm sad I didn't get to see them at this show, but I have a lot of great memories seeing them over the years.

 

Definitely. I've lived in Chicago 10 years and I'd seen MtB 6 times. More than any band I've ever seen. It's been good.

 

Sadly I think the last time I saw them was 5 years ago at Metro. But on our way home from that show we stopped off at the bar where a friend worked because the Stanley Cup was there and got to check that out and get our pictures taken, so that was awesome.

 

I was at that show! I remember it because it was one of the loudest shows I'd ever been to and I had a headache afterwards - and that was WITH ear protection.

They didn’t play it last night when I saw them.

 

Guns & Ammo on their acoustics EP is so good. Love the way it ends.

Anyone heard what Dave is up to now? Is this new botch? Gonna be super interested to see what he does next.

 

Botch doesn’t need that many loop pedals lol

 

I'd be very interested if he ended up doing some solo instrumental stuff.

Also that last minus the bear ep was a pleasant surprise. Like it doesn’t slap or fuck but I think it was their best work in almost a decade.

 

Imagine how powerful Botch would be with loop pedals.

Really loves listening to these guys when the weather is warm.

 

So David was on the Hard Times podcast and said that he's working on a solo record and hopes to see a release by the end of the year.

Yessss great news. Met him a couple years ago when they opened for Silversun Pickups.

 

Been on a binge of learning MtB guitar parts the last week or two. So much fun but having to rewire my brain slightly. Pretty much playing Crisco Twister fluently now.
