Although LVL UP is playing Dagger on October 11th, so obviously everybody should go to that, because how crazy.
Hahaha. That's comically comprehensive. Here's the must-sees/'no clue what's playing but if we just randomly go here we likely won't be disappointed' list: 7th St. Entry Triple Rock 331 Club Hexagon Kitty Cat Klub
I think Skyway Theatre is one. I've seen letlive and Underoath there recently but I believe the promoter is starting to move everything metal to The Cabooze
Orpheum and pantages sometimes brings in music acts also, saw flight of the conchords at the Orpheum earlier this summer
How on Earth did I miss seeing that Comeback Kid is playing here; super strange venue though, haha. I haven't seen them before, so I really want to check them out, but an Elks Lodge? Also, I agree that Anchor Fish & Chips is awesome, their burger especially. Still haven't been there for breakfast though
I'm seeing Eric Andre at first avenue in a couple weeks, so stoked. And I'm always too lazy to look for concerts, but I'm seeing Pablo October 10th at the X.
Get the Bandsintown app man; then you'll never need to really "look" for concerts again. Assuming you use Spotify/Facebook and like/follow most of your favorite artists/bands, every time an artist announces a tour the app will notify you. Or you can just search an artist and it'll show their current touring schedule
there was something i was gonna ask all day and now i don't remember. it's related to keeping up on something for everyone here and...im stumped. It wasn't shows, restaurants or anything. Dammit.
Right? It's pretty strange, but it's gonna be a crazy show! I stumbled upon it by looking at some other show event page on Facebook and someone posted the flyer for the CBK show, so it was complete luck. I saw them in Fargo a few years ago and it was a great show, so I'm pretty excited for this one!
Ah yes, are there any up and coming bands that should be checked out? I feel like there was a big boom in the mid 2000s but everyone broke up
Alright, anyone going to Blink tonight and wanna meet up in St. Paul before the show? Some friends and I will be down there getting some beers or dinner or whatever before going in.
I'll be going to the show but won't have time to meet up, unfortunately. Have to go right home from work to meet my friend and knock back some drinks and then we're hopping on the bus to get over there. Gonna be a blast!
I got class until 5:15 at the U, and then gotta head home after that, so probably won't get over there until 7 or so. Got a floor ticket, so hopefully I can get semi-close
Yeah we're on the floor too! Probably won't be able to get there until 6:30 so we'll have to meander our way closer throughout the show I'm guessing.
Wonder how many of it's heavier tracks A Day To Remember will play. Realllyyy hope they play "Exposed" from their latest
Aye, I'm looking at finally breaking out of Florida this year and plan A is SeaTac but obviously that's hella expensive and might not be doable anymore depending on if another guy I'm moving with drops out. Twin Cities are high up on my list (second only to maybe Philly) so I'm wondering what you guys have to say about it. Any help would be appreciated.
I already live somewhere where the weather makes it impossible to go outside for five months of the year so I'll live haha
Minneapolis / the Twin Cities as a whole is in my opinion the best area in the Midwest. Yes, it's cold. But the worst of it is only really 2-3 months between December and February. Our spring, summer, and fall seasons are god damn wonderful. I would put us on par with Portland, Seattle, Denver, Austin, etc as far as culture goes but we have the best cost of living which is nice. Great schools, great beer scene, GREAT OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES. Maybe the most bike friendly city in the country. And, you can get from downtown Minneapolis to a beautiful lake in 10 minutes. And we have good corn.
