I am floored by both these songs. Seriously so hyped for this record.

let’s take medicine, this is the last time every time, and the bruise on we.

Lots of things I could say about each, but I don’t wanna spoil too much. “let’s take medicine” feels super special to me and feels like the most definitive song we’ve written at this point. It’s also possibly my favorite from a lyrical standpoint (I let out an audible gasp and my jaw about hit the floor the first time I read that opening line), and probably the one I have the most fun playing live. “this is the last time every time” is a profoundly beautiful song to me, which I feel comfortable saying bc I had basically no input on the writing of that one lol. And “the bruise on we” is just absolutely wild... I still can’t believe we wrote it.

 

I love this so much.

 

The bruise on we is probably my favorite song. Idk. It's a good ass album every1

We got the cassettes in yesterday and I grabbed myself one and it looks so nice!! Love the layout of this one. Hopefully one day vinyl is a possibility bc I think the art would look especially good in that format. Anyway, two more days y’all!! :)

 

my tape shipped can't wait to look at it and nothing else because I no longer have a cassette player lol

 

This is up on spotify in Ireland! Not gonna listen tonight as I need sleep though. My commute tomorrow morning though!!!!

listened to Let's Talk About Us and I like it

guitars are angular here and there which creates an interesting dynami - kind of garage rock-y - some parts reminded me a little bit of Aye Naco

also props for having that Joan of Arc record as their arists pick on Spotify - I can tell it's an influence on the band and I can fuck with that

 

I’ll post more detailed thoughts after a few more listens but first impressions are very good album and the last track in particular is incredible.
