Only had time to watch the first episode so far. Really want to watch the rest, but I know my gf will want to put Stranger Things ahead of this once it drops. Will probably be a little while before I get to finish this...

Just finished the season. Man, that was great. Whole thing was damn near perfect. Will be waiting for season 2 with bated breath.

 

I love learning about this kind of stuff.

 

Finished this today, really loved it. Kemper was my favorite part. I couldn't believe how much I liked him considering the shit he's done, really hammered home how Holden could feel sympathetic/friendly toward these people.

I can't wait for season 2. Maybe I'm missing the whole point of the show, but I would love if they start getting into longer arcs with the crimesolving. I wouldn't be mad if season 2 is all about solving one serial killer

 

I just want 3 seasons. Do a long arc chasing this killer in Kansas and then have Holden really go off the deep end. He's fucked.

Also, Anna torv is such a smoke I can't stand it.

 

I thought she was Carrie Coon at first, similar voice and demeanor

Finished this up and loved it. Going to do a podcast on it this week, but it won't be out until around mid-November because I scheduled and recorded stuff way early. Feels go to have things planned out that far in advance, though.

No, but the featured killer that you want him to chase is very clearly the BTK killer.

 

Well that certainly won't match the timeline with our main protagonists lol is that creepy dude just gonna be in the background for years?

 

The creator has outlines for 5 seasons, season 2 will take place between 1979-1981, and BTK was more or less active between 74-91. It's possible he'll be a running thread between all planned seasons.

 

No way could I do 5 seasons of this. Hah. Geez.

 

On the 4th episode and man is this show great. Weird that Holden is the voice of The dude from Frozen

 

and the King in Hamilton

I could see them trying (and failing) to catch BTK once the first correspondence starts showing up.

 

I was confused the way the season ended. I get Holden’s life is in a flux with his job and Debbie, but why actually go to CA?
