This is a cool album

 

I wasn’t too sure how they’d be able to follow up the last one but they really did it. Thing is huge.

Cant explain it but when I listen to them/see them I get the same vibe, energy, and urgency that Against Me gave me right before they were about to pop but never did. I hope they never throw in the towel.

I feel like I’m listening to a 90’s hip hop hardcore album and it just works so well. This album is so rad.

 

production on this album is insane

I enjoyed this quite a bit, but they'll probably never top All Roads Lead To The Gun if they continue down this path for my tastes. There's some good stuff here though.

it’s fine. kinda feel the same about this as LP1 - some great songs (bad idea, kick, last two tracks) and four or five clunkers i’ll never think about again (basically throw me away through daydream and i won’t murder your friend). sell the acoustic guitar man.

 

but i do really really love a few of the songs, kick probably most of all

 

I can’t imagine thinking throw me away is a bad track ‍

it was probably my favorite single.

I can’t say I’ve spent enough time with the record to count any tracks out yet, but what I can say is paint and kick are certified bangers.

i trust that you can imagine basically anything. it’s imagination, my man.

it isn’t my least favorite song on the album but it doesn’t do anything for me either. i think they’re just an a+ EP band that is probably never going to make a LP i fully love. or rather they’re an a+ hardcore band an a replacement level indie rock band.

I think I’ve seen too many bad faith political “arguments” from evil people this year (that comment was not political or evil for the record), but when I see any level of pedantic retorting on the internet, it makes me want to turn off my phone and go outside.

I found this to be very consistent and the run from maybe I’ll burn my life down to wake up and smile is one of the best runs of tracks I’ve heard this year
