Hell yeah, very into this so far. God Owes Me Money is great and idk why I thought I didn’t really like it when it dropped a few days ago Kick rulessss. So does laugh at me! Man this is good lol.
I loved LUTG but yeah first impression is that this is a big step up. Really, really good. Wish it had come out during the summer though! Running a half marathon in a couple weeks and I made a playlist yesterday that this is going to completely disrupt lol
Yeah this rips. Somehow I think they saved the catchiest songs for the album? Kick and Laugh at Me have some of the most straightforward hooks they’ve ever written.
Sorry for the double post but I’m on my second listen and yeah I am actually shocked by how good this is. I was really looking forward to it, but damn, definitely exceeded expectations by a large margin.
Yeah I love this. Just hooks for days. such a pallet cleanser after attempting the tame impala album a second time.
Listened to this twice today, was giving me some good Friday work bangers. Happy I bought a ticket to see them in London now.
went to the release show, it was so much fun. new album is a big step forward, easily their best, they feel like a real band on this one
I loved every track on LUTG as stand-alone songs but always found a full album sit-through to be a challenge because of how similar some of the tracks were... But this is a huge step up. The highs are way higher. And the production is a huge add here. Full aside but I'm getting some major Stone Temple Pilots vibes from the instrumentals on "I Won't Murder Your Friend." Especially the last 45 seconds or so. This is already a strong AOTY contender for me, TBH.
