would be pretty surprised if theyre not on riot fest tbh going to try to fly for the NJ show if I can get tix
Respect each person’s decision, but if I cut my teeth in the Jersey scene back then watching Midtown grow from basements, I’d have a hard time passing on seeing them play an arena, even if it’s expensive and as an opener. That is ultimate setting beyond a football stadium or some festival headliner setting. If I was an old school Jersey person I would want to see two locally grown basement bands play an arena together. I def prefer smaller shows, but respect is respect.
to be fair, outside of this site this is probably fairly true about the MCR tour - there’s overlap in the fanbases and obvious crossover appeal, but I doubt the majority of people most excited to see midtown were already planning on going to MCR (and on the flip side, 95% of MCR attendees probably have no idea who midtown is)
damn it. Sat would’ve worked 100% better for me as I’m taking like a 5hr drive. Could’ve sworn they said one night only, but happy it gives more opportunities for other people to go
Sure, but adding them to a show with a kindred spirit headliner is different than adding them to a major festival. They'd be on the last line of Firefly.
Which Midtown member sings Perfect and One Last Time? I really like those mid-tempo bangers from the first two albums.
I didn't realize they had three different singers haha. Which one sings "i understand your ways" in Give It Up?
Been listening to the band for years, but I have never really gotten into their history. Is there a reason that Gabe becomes the de facto frontman for the final album?
Got my tickets for both Starland shows. Beyond pumped to see my favorite band play again. May do last minute MCR tickets for the show at Prudential Center, but the price is just too steep. Like $200+
Also in the boat of getting Friday tickets, but Saturday would have been better. Oh well, Friday vibes will be immaculate!
Pretty sure he pretty much handled all the writing for that album and was the main driving force behind the change in sound
It has to be pretty humbling to these guys to have sold out both of their hometown shows in minutes. They are good size venues too. I bet they didnt even realized the overwhelming love and demand for them to come back. I hope they have other NJ bands that came up in the scene open for them like Thursday, Senses Fail, Saves The Day.
Midtown headlined my second concert ever at Birch Hill. I got trampled multiple times by people jumping. What a time.
I miss that place so much. My second show ever was there. Fenix TX w/ Lefty and a very little known band called Good Charlotte.
