I absolutely adore Midtown, and also rarely listen to Forget What You Know. The change in sound from Living Well to it was too much of a whiplash for me. That said, when I do listen to it I hear what people who like it hear in it.

Forget What You Know was so incredibly influential to me. Coming out on the heels of Untitled was perfect timing. I just wanted something more than pop punk, which I still love, but this album pushed my musical boundaries so much further, at the time.

Even though I think Forget What You Know is their best work, Living Well… is the album I most come back to. Super fun, super catchy, no skips.

Our bar is so low. The sight of sun and I had my French doors open into the garden as if I was in Paradise.. It’s 12° :crylaugh:

    Die rad.

Forget What You Know should have been much much more of a success. That is a perfect album. Save The World will always be my #1 just due to nostalgia, but FWYK is a better written masterpiece. I know Im in the minority here, but I would actually rank Living Well as their weakest. That one doesnt get much replay value out of me. And this is coming from a die hard Midtown fan.

Jamming Living Well this afternoon. I forgot how much of The Ataris there is in this album.

    Not newbie, I think

Forget What You Know holds up a lot better for me, shrug. Probably a bad life sign ha.

I'd rank it as their weakest...but also say it's still like an 8/10 for me. It's just the weakest among three incredible albums.

I think they made a great pure pop punk album

then a great pop rock/power pop album

    then a great pivot/genre-expansion album

Forget What You Know is their only record to click with me. The other two might as well be from some band on a ‘00s Victory Records comp I forgot about

Living Well is definitely my favorite, but they’re all good.

I never got into them but Give It Up is part of the soundtrack of my teen years thanks to Madden

Maybe I should try giving the rest of that album a listen

Up there with any of the best records front to back, no skips, all hits no misses of the last 25 years. A band at their absolute peak, for me.
