'Depraved' is such a great and interesting word to describe this. I hope that it ends up living up to all that praise.
With the early reviews I am now convinced it isn’t going to be an eerie scare fest like Hereditary was and I am totally okay with that. This movie sounds super unique in its execution and that makes me more excited than anything.
I’m expecting a lot about motherhood and fertility and I’m so disturbed just thinking about how that will play out.
Expecting the opening show for this to be packed, and not like the quiet, diverse but small crowd we had for Hereditary on the first show. Still one of the coolest theater experiences I've had
Bloody disgusting review is up. No spoiler warnings and they gave away a spoiler in the first paragraph
I started to read a review and the beginning of the second paragraph dropped a bomb that's early in the movie and I cursed myself for having no self-control. I've even purposely avoided the full trailer!
Jordan Peele chats with Ari Aster about his 'atrociously disturbing' horror film 'Midsommar' in new 'Fangoria'
Pumped about this movie. My wife despises horror films. Refused to see Us. Is refusing to see this. Not ideal!
She did go to the theatre to see Get Out with me and enjoyed it. It’s a pretty atypical horror film though. The trailer for Us shut down any possibility of a repeat happening. And I’m not cruel enough to push her too hard to watch Hereditary, that’s the exact kind of horror she hates.
Haha. That is very kind. You just don’t mess around with Hereditary. Honestly, I could write an essay on why I believe it to be the scariest movie ever made. Us is nothing (love both movies though).
Yea I think she would like Us. It’s creepy to be sure. But not the horror film the trailer had you believe it was. Loved it though.
