I received my copy of the directors cut but I’d ordered the 4K and received the standard... anyone have experience with A24 Customer Service?

I did it. I finally watched Hereditary. And while I found Midsommar to be more disturbing, I am still glad I watched it in the morning daylight with windows opened.

 

Got mine today I hope A24 does more special editions like this I would probably buy it regardless of the movie.

 

Also got mine today, this thing is beautiful

 

God I really love this director’s cut. It just feels like it breathes better and fleshes our the characters more. The pace feels better with these additions as well.

 

is there any way to see it without owning the physical copy?

DC was available for purchase on iTunes previously but idk if it is anymore.

sorry, to clarify, i was talking about streaming the DC. I don't have device to play it. i'm a stream geek.

 

Apple has streaming rights for the director’s cut, so it’s an iTunes exclusive unless you were one of the lucky handful that was able to get one of the A24 discs. I’m on the waiting list for the next batch, I can’t wait to own the 4k disc because man...even my Blu-ray copy of the theatrical cut is better quality than the “4K” Prime version. I can’t wait to see those colors in HDR10+

 

I received an email today from A24, they let me know that they're working on sending me a replacement disc sans packaging that they'll send me.

Their webstore also reads that they're producing more DC discs so I'd hold off on the scalpers.

 

rewatching for the first time / seeing the DC the first time. god, I can't wait. one of my favorite theater experiences last year

 

I saw the DC when they had a week engagement for it here last September. Overall I saw this fucker 4 times theatrically last Summer. It’s such an amazing film.

 

i loved it. the DC added some nice stuff in the beginning but i don’t feel it was, overall, that essential. especially towards the back half. but who cares, what a film.

I watched The Wicker Man (OG) last week. How timely is that movie right now? Woof.
