I was struck by this as well. Everyone coming together with the music soaring, yet people are being burned alive. The more I think about it, the more I want to watch it again.
Just starting showing at the local discount theater and I'm tempted, I always wanna give good films a watch regardless of genre but even sub-par horror terrifies me to where I have trouble sleeping lol
Might do what I did for IT and just close my eyes if it gets too intense for me but it sounds like that'll be for the entire runtime lol
I love how it mixes traditional music with typical horror music sounds, another great example of how important music is to the genre.
Working on my thesis for this movie for a podcast episode and had a minor heart attack because I thought it was out of all the theaters near me and I need to see it again. Luckily the art theater downtown still has it this week.
ok i just saw this, are there any big discussion points/theories in here? edit: i'll just just read the thread
when we first see Pelle drawing in the apartment, was he simply drawing the table and its contents and that was just establishing that he drew things as shown later on or was there something more to that drawing? I can't totally remember
I saw this again today and started to work on my final thoughts. I’m very excited to talk about this. https://boxd.it/LDheb Uhhh also here’s my retrospective on Hereditary after rewatching it last week because I’m not above a little shameless self promo: https://boxd.it/LjOiv
