That Lowswimmer record is really good, wasn’t in my mid-year top 30 but only because I haven’t come back to it a ton. I expect it’ll be a staple in the fall/winter though

Expecting Deftones, Karnivool, My Ticket Home, Loathe, Chevelle, and others to push their way in there eventually in the second half. This year has been unreal.

 

Out of respect for the scene of my teens and my own enjoyment of this record, add suzzallo’s release to the list of good albums from this year. They’ve only been mentioned once in the thread, which is crazy for a band that has rocky Votolato, Rudy from gatsbys American dream, and even a little taste of Ben gibbard on a few tracks.
