I think the only things that have been officially announced that I’m looking forward to are The Beth’s, Matt Berninger, Liza Anne, Mansions, and Remo Drive. Then there’s unannounced but rumored/unofficially unannounced stuff like Julien Baker, Japanese Breakfast, Shortly, Lucy Dacus, Illuminati Hotties, Kississippi, and Every Time I Die.
There’s always so much new stuff I discover, but def excited for Phoebe Bridgers (which I’ll be listening to within a half hour), The Killers, Amy Shark, & maybe Julien Baker this year?
Just checked out the House & Home album after seeing it mentioned a couple times here and I really enjoyed it! I can see myself spending a lot of time with that one.
I haven't listened to nearly enough of 2020's music, just don't feel like it at the moment. That said, in no order: Enter Shikari, Freddie Gibbs, RTJ, The Strokes, Violent Soho.
Tried really hard but I don't think I can rank anything past my Top 10 rn, I've felt swamped this year with how much good music there is. 1. Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher 2. Empty Country - Empty Country 3. Waxahatchee - St. Cloud 4. Soccer Mommy - Color Theory 5. NNAMDI - BRAT 6. Trace Mountains - Lost in the Country 7. Turtlenecked - Kapow! 8. Kenny Mason - Angelic Hoodrat 9. Jeff Rosenstock - NO DREAM 10. The 1975 - Notes On A Conditional Form Addy - Eclipse Bryde - The Volume of Things Car Seat Headrest - Making A Door Less Open Caroline Rose - Superstar Carpool - Erotic Nightmare Summer Charli XCX - how i'm feeling now Denzel Curry & Kenny Beats - UNLOCKED Dogleg - Melee Ellis - Born Again Frances Quinlan - Likewise Freddie Gibbs & The Alchemist - Alfredo Grimes - Miss Anthropocene Hayley Williams - Petals For Armor Hot Mulligan - You'll Be Fine Katie Malco - Failures Lil Uzi Vert - Eternal Atake Moses Sumney - grae Perfume Genius - Set My Heart On Fire Immediately Polo G - THE GOAT Poppy - I Disagree Porridge Radio - Every Bad Run The Jewels - RTJ4 Sorry - 925 Spanish Love Songs - Brave Faces Everyone Tame Impala - The Slow Rush US Girls - Heavy Light Yves Tumor - Heaven To a Tortured Mind Edit: Forgot about Addy!
Have you listened to the Kenny Mason album? I think it’d be up your alley. I checked it out cause I saw someone say a lot of the melodies reminded them of early Kanye and I’d say they were pretty spot on
Sweet Whirl - How Much Love Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever - Sideways to New Italy Boldy James - The Price of Tea in China
Definitely one of my favorites! The stretch from Anti-Gravity to U in a Gang is probably my favorite.
