Oh man, Busy was like, taylor-made for my life at this particular moment. So good.

 

Busy might be the catchiest song on the album, at least to me

 

It's amazing how much his lyrics have improved on this one.

This album just keeps getting better the more I listen to it.

 

I think Whimper might be my current favorite.

Parts of it remind me of The Antlers.

 

really cool record

but

I STILL think their Head North split tracks are the best they've done - specially the first - it is a unique approach to a "tired" genre

but yeah, this is great - really cool, thick production too

 

Yeah, "thinking of you" is a more dynamic song than most of the songs bands labeled as "dynamic" have written.

i think homebody and whimper are my favorites, and then it's lighterless and dull

 

It always reminds me of an All Get Out song and I can never put my finger on which one

probably because it's all of them lol

 

It's a sign of a really good record when everyone has different favorite songs from it. I keep changing my top 3... Vomit, Busy, and Dull right now.

 

Vomit, Busy, Whimper for me. But that will probably change tomorrow.

We also played mostly the first half because I drove home from Jersey City so fast. I tried to play the back half for you in the morning but you turned it off for something else.

Also, blame Casey cause he was asleep in the backseat so I didn't want to blast music

 

Dull, Neighbors, and Homebody.

 

read through the lyrics on bandcamp, i love how wordy and detailed he is yet can still make it fit a melody so well. the lyrics were one of my favorite parts of stovall but honestly i think they're better here.

 

"Dull" is one of the best songs of the year for sure

my gf loves this band almost as much as I do and Something Right is one of her favorite songs ever. she loves this new record, she thinks it sounds nicer to listen too (which i definitely agree with) and that his vocals have stepped up. I think the underrated aspect here might be just how much better the guitar work is, love everything that's going on with this record.
