DIAWB is my favorite record of theirs but I’m excited to hear what’s next even if it’s not anywhere near as heavy.
I remember reading somewhere (maybe even here) that they weren't trying to write a heavy record as much as writing what felt right at the time and it all just happened to be heavy. I saw them open for Jimmy Eat World at the Ryman and absolutely lost my shit. Second best sounding room in the country and Whimper was beautiful.
I was at this show too! My wife and I are friends with a couple of members and their wives so we carpooled up and got an Airbnb since they weren't stopping through Atlanta. What a night....
I just finished doing a discography run and these dudes deserve to be so much bigger than they are. Just a perfect band imo
It must be the strength of the tour package because main room at The Cannery is like 1200 which more than double the last venue they played here. I'm stoked for them in either case.
Last few times they’ve been through Buffalo, Microwave’s been support at the room they’re playing here. HAM and Gami usually headline a 200 cap here. I think it should be a decently full room. Maybe they expect the new album to do really well too.
