It's frustrating that her two post-The Wreckers albums were scrapped (or one of them reduced to an EP) as judging from the leaks, you can hear that her stylistic evolution from her early pop-rock days to her current indie/chamber pop sound was gradual. Without those, it feels like she just took a drastic turn both instrumentally and vocally.
Yeah that whole album is essentially out there, and it actually sounds really good. I think I read somewhere once that she ended up leaking a bunch of it herself over time. There is one song, "Here We Go Again", that I absolutely love. Seems like Warner treated her like crap during that stretch of years. Would love an official release someday. On a somewhat related note, I just discovered M2M got back together last year and released some re-recordings of some of their songs. Good memories of "Dont Say You Love Me" from the first Pokemon movie. Marion Raven is another one that had a lot of talent but just didnt go anywhere with her solo stuff after M2M.
It'd be great if she rerecorded some of the scrapped stuff, didn't think of it but it could be cool to have them officially out there while she takes her time with a new album.
Source on this? I thought they dropped that. I know originally he cheated on her, she was booked for domestic assault charges, but then they reconciled. To each their own, but it's an odd move going back to someone when they cheat on you like that. Random story I thought of though. When she did her first major tour in a while when hopeless romantic came out, I went to see her show in Minneapolis. Went to a local pizza place by the venue before the show, and in walk Michelle and Patrick! I was too nervous to say anything though and just let her be.
