Damn its sad to hear this.

 

This seriously seems like it's completely out of nowhere.

 

It was to me as well until I learned about Patrick's serial cheating ways. I had no idea there was a pattern with him. Scum

 

Heard the new album slaps.

 

I found out about this from a TikTok where the guy said he was drummer for Black Eyed Keys

 

So he cheats on her while she's caring for their two small children alone, then she slaps him "once or twice" without leaving a mark, then he calls the cops on her and gets her arrested? Man, he sucks.

 

To be fair it was the neighbors who called the cops. And they probably only arrested her because they needed them separated, and she admitted to getting physical. Shitty situation, but she was released like 10 hours later.

 

She hit him so hard they had to change their name. I wish, anyway.

 

The “violence is never the answer” people are coming out of the woodwork again over this, calling her an abuser and saying she “beat him up.” Hilarious shit. You cheat on your wife, you get slapped. Should be in the marriage contract.

 

Obviously slapping someone could be considered a "violent act", but who in their right mind would consider it "domestic violence" under these circumstances? Ridiculous.

I'm liking this much more than Hopeless Romantic. Even though the indie rock undertones from the latter are still present, a lot of this seems to harken back to her earlier stuff melodically. A solid addition to her discography.

 

Totally agree with this. What are your favorites so far?

 

Not My Lover, You Got Me Where You Want Me, Fever Forever and Zut Alors! stood out, but I can't wait to see the rest reveal itself on future listens.
