I like that they actually put in Michelle's dob on their profile.

she had an album that became an EP that came out in 2010, then another album that she said was coming out in september 2011, then spring 2013, but just never came out.

That sucks, I know of the EP, but what made her not release the records?

yeah this is pretty normal for pop stars sadly, especially ones that aren't in their peak of popularity. labels will hold out until they feel something is worth releasing, and way too often they just won't.

also big in rap music, just look at tha carter V

Label issues aside, didn't she have a kid at some point as well? I'm sure that stretches timelines out too.

I appreciate the change in sound and am glad she has new stuff on the way. That said, this song did not do a ton for me. I don't dislike it, but it's just sort of there for me. Hoping the rest will be more up my alley.

Going through this now and it's a pretty tough listen. Haven't heard every song yet, but so far I like Knock Yourself the most. I like '80s inspired pop music, I'm just not sure I want it from Michelle Branch.

  23. Yeah this is fine and I respect her branching (eh? ehhhh???) out to different things but I just don't see this having a ton of lasting value at the moment. Hope I'm proven wrong.

It's never a good sign when you are a few songs in and you look at how many you have left. I'm on track 10 and it's probably my second favorite after Knock Yourself. Only four songs to go.

Edit: I did enjoy Fault Line as well.

I only got to listen to the first four or so songs on lunch but so far it's all good
