Haven’t been able to listen to Madvillainy yet. That album helped a lot during the past year and was one of the few things that brought a smile to my face, so going back to it after he passed has been hard. Thankfully there are two volumes of this, jazz versions of Madvillain tracks and they’re hitting the spot.
So good I highly recommend Open Mike Eagle to any DOOM fans that aren't familiar with him, he reminds me a lot of him sometimes
Do his three solo album, Madvillain, King Geedorah, DangerDoom and the first Viktor Vaughn album? I don’t see JJ DOOM or the collab with Czarface getting too many votes. And as good as the KMD albums are, Zev Love X and DOOM feel like two very different people.
I could literally loop "Raedawn" for hours on end and not get even remotely sick of it. song is a masterwork
Stones Throw announced a repress of Madvillainy. Didn't have a copy, so jumped on it Madvillainy | Stones Throw Records
The lyric booklet is enticing, but I already own it. Maybe if it was a gatefold, but it’s Stones Throw so you know that’s not happening
Decided to make that my first vinyl ever haha. Always thought I’d start a vinyl collection one day, why wait? Anyone got recs for affordable but good quality vinyl players?
There are a bunch of recommendations in the Vinyl Thread, but I’d say most people here wind up just recommending the U-Turn. Affordable and customizable. Shop
Just in case anyone doesn't know, there's a second Viktor Vaughn album that's not on streaming services
Dangerdoom rules. Think that’s the first DoomxStarks track. Old School Rules is such a great track too. Just a fun album.
Yeah, it's probably my third fave after Madvillain and MM..FOOD. It's an album that some more hardcore MF DOOM fans don't listen to as much because it's not produced by him. Same with JJ DOOM. They're missing out.
This poll is more of a mess than trying to sort his discog. Weekly Poll: Favorite MF Doom Album • forum.chorus.fm
