I’m trying to process this, but I can’t. DOOM was special. He probably helped shape my taste in music more than anyone else.
I’m so glad I got to see him (and it was actually him!) live at least once. The same day I got to see Company Flow do a reunion show too. Shouting REMEMBER ALL CAPS WHEN YOU SAY THE MAN NAME felt so good. Can’t believe that was nearly 9 years ago.
Listening to some Special Herbs now. Easier than listening to his voice at the moment. Will listen his albums proper tomorrow.
He had some of the best beats in the game. There's probably hundreds more unreleased that are probably 95% better than a lot of beats made by producers today. And that's not a slight on them, he was just that good.
My heart is broken. Rhinestone Cowboy is just an absolute mindblower, as is all his material. I’m just so gutted rn.
I'm heartbroken too. I haven't cried as much about an artists death since probably MCA. Just so unbelievably sad.
