Another part of it was that it was the 22nd release by whichever record label they were a part of, so one of the song titles had a "v" in it and it was made of some kind of silver embossed plastic or metal to commemorate that. I looked into it and every album had a different letter with the same treatment depending on which numbered/lettered release it was. I thought that was a neat idea.
Thinking about that dream last night made me think back to this dream: I don't know how I missed it, but i immediately thought that I probably had that image in my head because one of my favorite artists, Anselm Kiefer, has multiple pieces like this:
From what I've read is that they're waiting for the vinyl to be pressed and ready to go for the presale and whatnot. But who knows? It's the devil I suppose, so it doesn't matter much to me.
That'd be nice to pre-order the record and get it within the same week as release instead of 2-3 months out.
If that happened I would definitely listen to mewithoutYou for a couple of weeks and wait for La Dispute. I can't deal with too presumably dense and thought provoking records at the same time! I'm with @SpyKi here and would take the music now. However, I think people got frustrated and complained about delays for the last two records. I read that Mike Almquist (the manager) said that it was so frustrating with the vinyl stuff last time to the point where they have vowed to make sure they have everything in place prior to the release for future records. So I'm guessing that is why we have no information yet and probably what is underpinning everything at the moment rather than tour merch (although I'm sure that could be something in the back of their minds). I think they just want to get everything ready to go for this release before announcing it.
This time it was called "Mania" and had some pretty dark and morbid animal images throughout the artwork. It was like a Manson or NIN album, haha
truthfully this one might be my favorite so far, especially considering how it’s supposed to be heavier
i had a dream the pre-order got announced a while back. i don't know what's up with my imagination, but the cover looked like a Rasta version of the Jurassic Park cover, lmao
i had a dream mewithoutYou asked me to fill in on guitar just for one show and i was like hell yeah i will. Got on stage and got nervous and forgot all the songs. I couldbt play anything. Aaron was visibly frustrated but really nice about it. I ended up just soloing over Pale Horses songs lmao
