Love all these stories!

 

My best friend/drummer in my band came over in high school and said you have to hear my friends friends band ha. I guess he went to church with somone that knew Aaron really well (we live in south jersey)... anyway at first I was like wtf is this and then I was like wow this is sick, and the rest is history. Still remember listening to a b life on his lap top in my parents living room. Then we went and saw them like 2 weeks later and a band named emery happened to be open... and then emery became my favorite band haha

 

Got into them in like 2012 through brother sister, didn’t get pulled in by anything else, Pale Horses rips, still can’t get into anything else.

 

I don’t get this? Are they referencing Future or was this real?

I just started listening to them one day

 

I was hooked since the first time I’ve heard January 1979 when it came out.

Not super into All is Crazy and large swaths of A->B but all their other albums are solid gold for me.

 

Also the dog being part of “the war on drugs” is super funny

 

i found out about them in like 04,05 by seeing january 1979 music video on comcast on demand lol

 

oh shit. bad day for this but i'm intrigued

Do we know for a fact they were in the studio and recording?

Pale Horses production isnt half as good as Brother Sister. All im saying. Im sure hes a total sweetheart though.

Brad wood has some great stuff and some clunkers, just like yip. like, I love diary but the production on that doesn't hold up at all. yip is a fine choice because you can hear him actively get better (or hear when it's really just bad songs)

 

All the Brad Wood produced mwY, and Touché Amore albums sound fantastic.

 

I don't personally pay enough attention at this point to dwell on different producers. All I know is that Pale Horses is hands down my favorite mwY album outside of Foxes (which has this point established itself well enough in my favorites to never be replaced, lol).

I really liked how Ten Stories sounded, but I don't think I've ever thought the production of a mwY album brought it down for me, so yeah.

 

A-B Life is the only mwY record that i think has subpar production. doesn't quite diminish the highs of the record, but it's noticeable when listening to it.

and i need to start a savings fund for whenever the new record gets announced. this is not a game.

 

Recently posted but no idea if it is a photo from when they recorded or if they popped back in to tie up a few loose ends?

Either way, rumour is from my extensive googling that it'll be out in the Autumn (or 'fall' as you people say!)

damn, I thought with them getting the masters back in what like February? we would be getting this in June/July
