mwY is a good band to test the range and dynamics of a guitar/amp i play around with their songs a lot when im setting up. the Les Paul is my most versatile
I have this tele that has a humbucker in the front and a single coil in the back. I can do just about anything I throw at it. god I love this thing. (my other tele has a lipstick in the front and a hot stack in the back. love it almost as much.)
I want a tele too, fun fact. i recorded almost the entire Out of Service LP with my Gretsch "Tennessee Rose" which worked way better than I thought it would... also Nathan thought I was using a tele the whole time ha, so idk what that means.
Ever since I saw Cody Bonnette of ACB just straight up Wreck It Ralph on a Tele it’s been a dream of mine to get one. They are just so...crisp
Also, hearing Mike say that they are sort of coming from the same place on this new record that they did on AB Life is very exciting. I’m not a huge fan of that record, but most of that is due to lack of polish and refinement. Current mwY pumping out something like that would be insane.
Did he actually mean specifically AB Life sound or just that they are all in a similar place and on the same page musically (whatever that sound is)? Any mewithoutYou is welcome to me!
I’m not sure, it sounded like a little of both to me. I don’t think they are making AB Pt 2, but I’m curious to see where they are going with this one
To be honest, even if they've been influenced by this AB anniversary tour, incorporating that kind of sound into whatever they recorded would still seem like a natural progression from Pale Horses.
Yeah, especially with a closer like Rainbow Signs. It is amazing to me how strong this band is so late into their career
The heavy section of Rainbow Signs and the chorus of Red Cow were my two favourite parts of that album so if they're going heavy I'll be down with it.
id like an extremely aggressive, heavy mwY album but id also love if they experimented with synths and electronics, just blowing those sounds out and making them super chaotic.
A-B Life shows just announced for London and Antwerp! Not my favourite mewithoutYou record but always so sick getting to see this band live.
An electronic mwY actually sounds pretty rad. I'd really love to see them experiment with some of the popular sounds of today and make it entirely their own.
