Oh also it hit me today that the Werewolf king is probably referring to nebuchadnezzar who was transformed into a beast by God. Some biblical scholars interpret this as lycanthropy which is weird but interesting
I'm so jealous of you all going to the A>B Tour. Wish I could go. Really hoping they do at least one Uk date.
I don't think we'll see them over here until the new album has dropped to be honest. It would be cool but they've visited three times in 18 months (ish) which is fantastic. Although I'd love to see a few songs from that album live (mainly The Cure For Pain & Everything Was Beautiful), I saw a couple already on the last few torus and I'd rather see them again with some new material. Any mewithoutyou show is a privilege though and I totally get the desire for UK dates for this tour, particularly if it's a fav album etc.
I think I've seen everything I want to see from AB, I'm fine with them skipping the UK this time and hopefully coming back with the new album.
Even the smallest mention of this new music raises my expectation levels. Wonder if they'll play a new song in the encore of this tour?
David Bazan tweeted that there will be a full US Pedro the Lion tour and look what happened afterwards... Great combination - hope it happens, even if it won't touch the UK!
Oh man, the setlist last night looks fantastic! Chapelcross Town! I like that they mellowed it out after performing the whole of A-->B.
i’m dead. we got Every Thought & Angel of Death acoustic, then January, Wolf Am I (and Shadow), Red Cow, Sweater Poorly Knit, and Son of a Widow. also, during A/B, while the rest of the guys were jamming, Aaron came up into the balcony and sat down in the empty chair next to us. they all looked to be having such a good time playing those old songs, but they just blazed through them.
