I still think it's a cool song it's just the only song on there that doesn't really wow me. It just kind of plods along.
That was about Sun and the Moon. Torches Together I like more and is only my least favourite from Foxes because all the other songs are too damn good.
No doubt I'll get sone flak for this, but I think my least favorite song on Brother, Sister is either A Glass Can Only Spill What It Contains or In A Market Dimly Lit
this is getting ridiculous, KENNETH IS ALMOST OUT OF FUCKS. y'all better act right fore he goes over his monthly limit
I know. I'm sorry. I just think it sounds a bit empty live. That might be the wrong word. The vocals/guitars aren't as prominent so it's just Aaron mumbling to some pretty awesome drumming. I mean, it's still great. But after seeing it three times in a live setting, I have to say I just prefer listening to the track on the album. #whatthefuck
Just thinking how cool it was that at 14/15 I was already heavily into this band. I wasn't a very cool 14/15 year old in many many ways, so that really is something.
Least favorite is probably sun and Moon on that album but b, s is p much perfect so that's saying very little I think
Lol. I have a friend who thought that this was what FTW meant. Nice and Blue Pt. 2 has always been my least favorite on B, S. Easily. It's still stellar though. Sun/Moon has always stood out as one of the most memorable to me so it always surprises me how many call it their least favorite.
When people say a song is their least favourite on Brother, Sister are they including the Spider Trilogy?
Saying "Brother, Sister "and "least favourite" in the same sentence flat-out doesn't make sense to me.
I understand that the term is a bit difficult (grammatically more than anything!) but surely 'least favourite' implies that they are all good, you like them all, but if you had to say this one would be the 'least favourite'? The entirety of that album is perfect. But if you have a favourite song you must surely be able to have a 'least favourite'. In context of other albums by other bands, my 'least favourite' track from Brother, Sister would still be better than the majority of every other band's back catalogue. It's an incredible album and if I had to rank every album I've listened to, I'd still say it's my number one.
to me the spider songs are just 1 song but yeah its a great song Orange Spider in particular has lyrics that are both absurd, the idea of writing a letter to mice asking them to stop eating food off counters only to then escalate the situation by using hostile force to eradicate them when theyre just trying to eat some food, but has a lot of political and religious undertones to it that make it all the more crushing and sobering. also i think its no coincidence that the spiders colors could reflect someones skin color. with aaron and mike being jewish/muslim descent im sure thats intentional.
