The tla is a pretty small venue, not sure of the cap but I would be willing it's much less than a 1000
Yeah TLA is about 1000 cap. I doubt the show sells out quickly. I know mwY is from the area, but they aren't exactly a popular/hot band, even around our parts
I know they sold out he tla for the catch for us the Foxxes tour, which is why I thought they may again
Well yeah, that one doesn't surprise me since that album is held in such high regatd by fams (rightfully so). Plus, I'm sure plenty of fans showed up who haven't been into anything since Brother, Sister and otherwise mat not have attended a regular headliner. I'm not quite as sure how mwY fans feel about AB Life in their discography for 15-year anniversary tour, but I can't imagine it selling out as quickly as the CFUTF tour did. Which reminds me, I should be at the Philly date with some friends for anybody here interested in going to the Philly date.
Talking of Rickie, he posted his favourite song from each album on Twitter: Quite interesting to see for several reasons: 1. you don't always see bands talk about this but it's cool to hear when a band has had as many albums as mewithoutYou 2. you definitely don't usually hear it from the drummer's perspective 3. I think I've seen that he usually puts the setlists together each night Edit: What are the odds this starts everyone ranking their favourites?
It was my least favorite for years, but it clicked for me a while back. There's a meditative quality to it for me, plus the drums on it are awesome.
lol me and Rickie share our faves off each of their albums. Gonna spin their discog (or what I have of it) asap
I'm in the process of sleeve based on "if all the forest trees were pens and all the oceans ink" from Dryness and the Rain. Will post pictures when its done.
I love Sun And The Moon. Rickie is amazing on that song and it doesn't surprise me that he listed that as his favorite from Brother, Sister. I think that song has one of his best performances. Great picks from CFUTF, TS, and PH as well.
I was similar - was my least favourite for a couple of years but now I love it. I agree with both your points about its meditative nature and the fantastic drums. "I used to wonder where you are. These days I can't find where you're not." That lyric has always hit me hard though.
