To this day, I have yet to revisit It's All Crazy... that's how much I hated it when it first came out. I think that violent reaction has caused me to not like 10S or PH nearly as much as I should. But they'll never top CFUTF and B,S. Just can't do it. Those albums are perfection.
I really think TS rivals B,S at this point for me. It's hard to choose, but regardless Catch will always be my favorite.
If anyone is going to a stop on the Say Anything/mewithoutYou tour, can you PLEASE pick me up a copy of their tour split? Would be extremely grateful.
You're doing yourself a disservice not listening to that album. It has a couple of the greatest mewithoutYou songs on it. Also, here's a stream of that EP: Say Anything And MewithoutYou Covered Each Other’s Songs
I think Max is just going through a period in his music that I can't get behind, not super big on his "cover". The mewithoutYou song on here is really good though. Aaron's not as bad at singing as himself, and a lot of other people say. The reworking of the lyrics I really enjoy too.
The only thing from Say Anything that I liked was their self-titled. Really enjoy the contribution from Mewithouyou to this split.
Just now getting into this band for some reason. My buddy who loves them gave me an album trajectory that he thinks will make me a fan. Started with Catch for Us the Foxes today, and I already love it.
so what are they playing on this tour? bit of everything? just saw them a little while ago so debating the show in slc on monday
what's ur fav song from Brother Sister (OTHER than In A Sweater Poorly Knit) In A Market Dimly Lit or O Porcupine get me going every time
O' Porcupine is one of the best songs they've ever written. I also really enjoy singing along to the Spider songs.
Haven't even listened to B,S enough to know. This is a major flaw in my music listening career that I need to rectify.
Yeah I definitely will haha. I was a very casual fan and had only given their records a handful of spins before last summer, but since Pale Horses came out that's always what I've turned to when I want to listen to mwY.
Has everyone heard this? With the choir it reminds me of that song from The Chariot on The Fiancee album.
