To me, this is the most confident I've been about a new album since B,S tbh. The guys seem to be closer, happier and more locked in musically than ever.

Aaron having a kid and Greg leaving did leave me a bit worried for a breakup but they haven't seemed like they want to call it quits yet (as much as some previous times anyway)

Not to mention they just bought a bus! Can't imagine dropping that kind of cash then calling it quits

 

what's with these thoughts that the band is breaking up?? i'm always operating under the assumption (and hoping) that they'll be around for years to come

 

yeah, nothing serious

just some mentions here and there and some random comments I guess

although my fav mwY albums are in the past, I very much look fwd to the band's "mature" output - special band this is

 

I remember after 'it's all crazy' being certain they'd call it quits. I feel more confident lately that they have at least a record or two more in them.

I don't imagine they could ever make a bad album at this point. Aaron's too careful of a lyricist.

 

I feel there could still be a bad album, even with great lyrics.

 

Lol this is probably where I'm just weird. Someone could strum a single chord for 45 minutes and if I liked the lyrics or thought they were interesting / funny / sad, then I'd think it was great.

 

it does take a certain kind of talent to strum 2 chords w good lyrics and make it work as a whole (e.g. early Bright Eyes)

 

Yep, he's the only drummer I've ever seen play like that.

 

I've seen some do it. Michael from O'Brother does it too. I guess in defense of how they flip the sticks around, if you're gonna play hard might as well not break the tip haha

 

Has anyone outside of the US received their INSTIWB order yet? I picked up it's all crazy... along with it and there's no sign of those yet, which is surprising.

 

"rush 2.0" is opening up the secret show, wonder if that's crying. if so, that's amazing, haha
