please tell me mewithoutYou is about to drop a new album out of nowhere

 

Rumor is a re-issue of their first EP on vinyl

Damn it, I don't like the EP. haha Why is this happening before the Catch For Us The Foxes one?

I honestly I don't think I've ever really listened to it much. I looked up the line in the video that flashes up real quickly and it's a line from Four Word Letter. Is that on the first EP?

 

i haven't listened to the first EP actually! so this is basically like getting new music for me, haha

Did that reissue never actually come out a couple years ago?

 

they had issues getting the rights back from the publishing company i believe. should be happening 2017 if i remember right

 

They should do something for Brother, Sister since that's the best mewithoutYou album in my opinion, which is the only correct and objective opinion to exist. sorry, i don't make the rules

definitely don't think they're planning on hanging it up anytime soon with how much effort they've put into getting a new touring bus.

also, not very into that first EP, but still cool they're not abandoning their old stuff.

 

And Almquist said they got the repress greenlight for CFUTF but they're gonna do it after the PH promotion (said this a while back on twitter I think)

 

This is why I was wondering why the EP was getting a pressing before CFUTF. I remember Mike mentioning that they had the greenlight to do it, and there's a ton of demand (I imagine a lot more than there is for the EP too).

 

they were both announced around the same time originally. i'd assume foxes will follow shortly.
makes sense to do the EP first.

Somehow stumbled upon this video around the time I was gonna give this band a good listen soon anyway... I'm honestly pretty blown away. This is really really dope.

I fucking love this band so much. I went to see them this weekend on the 15 year ann. tour in a small ~300 person venue and it was just amazing.

 

Definitely INSTIWB reissue.
