I never said I didn't like Sun and Moon! It's just my least favorite on the album. It's the equivalent of having 13 Hundred Dollar Bills, but one is a little less crisp, slightly crinkled, so I don't like it as much. It's still valued a lot tho
Haha that's crazy. Also, they've been making separate posts for a lot of the dates on the upcoming US tour this fall/winter. I don't know if it's because tickets aren't selling very fast, or what, but on at least one of them they mentioned it would be a while before they came back.
Who is playing bass now that Greg is out? Do we know why he left? He was one of my favorite parts of the group--his backing vocals were great live and he's a wonderful bassist, especially for Ricky's style of drumming.
Son Of A Widow is my least favorite favorite from Foxes and maybe my least favorite song from the Foxes-Horses run
I remeber thinking Abergine was terribe when I first heard it, and easily their worst. Boy was I a dope.
its still a great song! But i'd take the others over it. Then again, I'm the weirdo that thinks Its All Crazy is probably my 2nd-3rd favorite mwY record. It feels like In The Aeroplane Over The Sea part II. there was a time not too long ago where this was my favorite band and they still mean a lot to me. The struggle with sexuality, religion, depression, and social interaction Aaron discusses hit very close to home for me.
Son of a Widow is in the top half of Foxes for me and Foxes is the only album of theirs where I love every song, ha. I see a lot of NMH influence in Crazy but I don't think it's that close. I also think Aeroplane is way, way better. There's still a good amount of that album I can't get into at all. They're amazing and I just keep gaining more and more admiration and love for them as time goes on.
I love every song from Foxes onward, just some more than others. Yeah its hyperbole but its accurate. A lot of NMH influence on that record. I adore that album and think its as good as Aeroplane to me. Yep, Im revisiting them today and im just like "why the fuck havent i listened to this band in so long? they used to mean the world to me"
There's like one song I'm not in love with on BS, TS and PH and then like half of Crazy. I wish I liked that album more. I really do love what they did on The Fox, the Crow and the Cookie and wish more of the album was like that.
Oh boy, I like It's All Crazy! and it's defo got some NMH influences and I'ma let you finish, but Jeff Mangum wrote one of the best albums of all time!
I love Fig with a Bellyache. Every Thought or February 1878 or Fiji Mermaid would be my least favorite, outside of A to B Life
Yeah that's an interesting opinion. Fiji Mermaid lyrically is amazing, and February sets up the album perfectly.
