I just listened straight through and what a wonderful experience that was. So excited for the other volumes when they come out. My deep regret is never seeing them live so these albums are a nice touch

That’s such a cool idea and I can’t believe I didn’t predict that!

 

My live vol 1 records came in the mail this week and i really think it's one of the best packaging and presentations I've ever owned. There are just so many bonuses that came along with it.

I really love piecing together what songs come from which shows. Anyone have any ideas on which shows are involved in the live compilations? I know Hayley sings on the Log Flume and i think that's from the LA show in '22 at the Belasco.

I'm impressed with how well they flow despite being pieced together from various shows. I thought I saw these 3 volumes were pulled from three specific shows, but I'm not so sure if that's the case. I know they're from 2019 - 2022 shows but if anyone has more info, greatly appreciated!

 

not three specific shows, each volume is compiled from different shows across those years. i don't think they've announced the source of each song but maybe someone has tried to piece it together

 

I know Aaron played acoustic Cardiff Giant at the final show because I sobbed through it but I can't remember if he played it that way for other shows.

*Edit* Just listened to my live rip of the final show and it's the same version

 

I’ll have to go back to check which songs, but the stage banter about the flowers and asking the audience if they have anything to say (and at least one of the songs that bookends said banter) is from the Toronto farewell date.

EDIT: it’s Nice and Blue Pt. 2 and the subsequent stage banter. My wife also grabbed one of the flowers he’s talking about from the stage at the end of the show and pressed, preserved and framed it for me. But it’s a cockscomb not one of the calla lilies Aaron shouted out.

 

Yup, it's from the Belasco. Being at that show for that moment was an all-time concert moment for me and having it immortalized on the Live CD is so freaking cool.

 

I was wondering if Cardiff Giant was from the last show! I was there and the a cappella of the crowd was giving me goosebumps. Such a special memory and so glad to have a live moment i was able to share with others to come back to. So cool!

I was hoping they wouldn't wait long after the Vol. 1 vinyl went out, revisiting that again when I received my LPs made me very ready for more.

 

Can’t wait. This band! The real deal even after they’ve finished.

Just spent all my money on Thrice so I'll probably pass on this one.

 

For vol. 1, pre-orders for all physical versions was 2 weeks before it went on streaming, but pre-ordering any physical edition granted an instant digital download.

I believe digital pre-orders didn't initially come with the advanced download, but they went back and gave advance downloads for those as well when people pointed out that wasn't particularly fair.

 

Pre-order came with the download! I snagged the art print and couldn't decide which variant. They all looked so great this time around, but I ended up going with rockfish.
