Brother, Sister Catch for Us the Foxes Ten Stories [A-->B] Life Pale Horses [Untitled] It's All Crazy! is probably my ranking these days. They're all fantastic though, I'm even coming around to It's All Crazy.
Very few rock bands i can think of that have ever had a rhythm section as locked in as this band on BS. The Dismemberment Plan comes to mind, and I was lucky enough to see both bands play together in one of my favorite shows ever like a decade ago.
can't wait to be surprised by my Ten Stories deluxe way out in October and actually, for the colored edition of the deluxe, it may be even later...
On most days, i would absolutely agree. But on somedays, I'd argue Pale Horses is just as good of an example if not better.
Ten Stories isn't my favorite mwY record, but if we're talking rhythm section Fox's Dream is about as great as it gets for the band. I think they've played it live all three times I've seen them and the ending is always a joy to watch.
Four Fires played last night. They have definitely played more than the 70 they said they had rehearsed, even if it didn’t include acoustic Aaron songs.
mike almquist himself. he mentioned it when i spoke with him at the show. he's in the early planning stages for another thing and there's basically a 9 month lead time for anything vinyl rn
oh, no not that lol i'm sure he wouldn't tell me anything like that just that he's in the starting phases of doing a Pale Horses Deluxe. i'm sure most people would reasonably expect this would be coming.
A live album is all but inevitable imo. Won’t come out until after all the albums have their deluxe editions out.
Greg tested positive the day after the tour ended. So I guess everyone was lucky there were no cancelled shows at the end of this leg. Due to the gap I assume everyone will be fit and well when the tour resumes for leg 2. Hopefully a quick recovery for Greg (and any of the others who may test positive). Also hope all their families are unaffected!
Honestly, unless you’re wearing a properly fitted KN95 mask and don’t take it off as long as you’re around people, cloth and surgical masks won’t do much to stop transmission. Can’t really stop a highly transmissible virus. Hopefully Greg experiences minimal symptoms and has a quick recovery!
Some people have posted maskless photos with the band (or maybe just Aaron) and I was surprised to see they weren't trying to be safer. I know it's the farewell tour so the desire is certainly understandable but it seems like a lot to risk. Really hope nobody else gets sick and none of the dates get cancelled
