Delayed, but man, one of my favorite concert experiences ever. I was ecstatic about Jeremy Bolm showing up, then it crossed my mind when Fox's Dream started, "Hmm... what if?" And right about then, Hayley showed up. The best part was, people were psyched but the band didn't even address it for a few more songs. Then Hayley watched from one of the balconies and blended right in and looked like a kid the whole time. It was electric, but lowkey enough to feel more celebratory of the band than anything.

But man, it was freakin cool screaming along to January 1979 and seeing Hayley screaming along on the sidelines. Really insane to think mewithoutYou is the biggest influence on the biggest rock band of our generation. All I could think was, "Man, what a weird little band to have so much influence." I could really see their post-band legacy being even bigger than the legacy they have now.

I don't think I'd survive hearing Sweater Poorly Knit live. I'd just be a wreck.

  3. All the set lists have been great!

  4. I saw them do it with a live harp player once. That's the one that really sticks with me.

    I do not exist.

    Love that you were there.

So gutted Covid prevented any European / UK shows.

I’m literally living every moment through people in this thread and on Instagram so keep sharing everyone!

Cleo's Ferry last night. I also overlooked that they played Fairfield in Utah.

They really are going all out on deep cuts. You love to see it. At this rate we might get Cities of the Plain, Dirty Air or Existential Dread..

I’m hoping for Cities of the Plain tonight in Lawrence. I love that song. It’s my favorite off the untitled ep

Theyvee been recording them for a while now! Rickie was listening through them last year. I'd kill for a subscription website they update a few times a year with new live shows

I think this band has kept getting better. I got into them when Ten Stories came out so the older ones don’t have the nostalgia. My tentative ranking is
    [Untitled]
    Pale Horses
    Ten Stories
    Catch for us the Foxes
    It’s All Crazy
    Brother Sister
    A to B Life

This is in no way definitive to me, but at this moment I'd say
    Bro, Sis
    [Untitled]
    Pale Horses
    Foxes
    It's All Crazy
    Ten Stories
    A->B

People really like this band. I’ve seen some stone cold crowds yet the crowd in Lawrence fucking moshes to acoustic fox crow and cookie.

Also, they played New Wine New Skins which fucking rocked. That one of my favorites I think

Also the verse to Bethlehem, WV sounds exactly like the verse to Every Sun, Every Moon by I’m Glad It’s You

hmm, pretty sure we got a few others when they played an acoustic in-store during the release tour, maybe that’s not on setlist.fm

i guess it was mostly acoustic versions of LP songs, and just Bethlehem and August 6 from the ep.
but remembered we got Break On Through Pt. 2!

triple post, but I’m finally getting around to selling my extra [Untitled] vinyl in red, still sealed. $30 to anyone who wants it.
i was dumb and didn’t understand the deluxe came with both :crylaugh: (didn’t help that i was panic ordering the deluxe at midnight). then they accidentally sent me the LP instead of the ep. almquist said they’d paypal me if i sent it back, but never got around to it.

There's a lot of records I would describe as "incredible" or a "masterpiece," but Brother, Sister is probably the only record where "perfect" is literally the first descriptor that comes to mind.
