I wasn't planning on going to the final show but things changed yesterday. Saw tickets were over $100 and decided I'm good. lol
Yeah I’m waiting to see if resale tickets drop in price closer to the final show. Wish I grabbed my ticket for it when they went on sale, but April was a wild month and didn’t realize the show sold out, like, a month ago lol
They talked about how Seattle is kind of a second hometown for them last night. The wild thing is that the show apparently didn't sell out. At least, you could still get tickets day of. It was pretty full in Neumos tho
Incredible show last night in Vancouver. I finished up the setlist entry on setlist.fm and saw that they've already played 69 different songs across the 7 shows so far. They're going to end up playing every song that's on an LP during this tour, aren't they? Best live band.
One night they played Brother, Sister in full. Not sure if all of those songs count towards the 70 that they rehearsed. If so, that means RIP to all but one of these songs they haven't played yet: [Untitled]: [dormouse sighs] Winter Solstice Wendy & Betsy Michael, Row Your Boat Ashore Break on Through Pt 2 Pale Horses: Birnam Wood Ten Stories: Cardiff Giant it's all crazy: Every Thought A Thought Of You Bullet To Binary Pt 2 Fig With A Bellyache Brother, Sister: (not counting the one album show) The Dryness And The Rain Orange Spider Brownish Spider Catch For Us The Foxes: (none, they've played them all) A to B Life: The Ghost Everything Was Beautiful And Nothing Hurt (A)/(B) Be Still, Child We Know Who Our Enemies Are I Never Said That I Was Brave b-sides; Dirty Air Cities of the Plain Existential Dread, Six Hours' Time Kristy w/ the Sparkling Teeth Hebrew Children Cleo's Ferry Cemetery Julian the Onion Four Fires
I also wonder if it includes the ones Aaron plays alone, as there’s now a number he’ll do acoustically.
I’ve gotta assume that it’s because they sold out Neumos just a couple of months ago for the rescheduled B,S show. The farewell show was just as packed though so I’d believe it if this one ended up selling out at the door.
Feel so lucky to have got to see them finally for the first time, in Berkeley the other night. They were amazing. Sad I won’t get to see them again, but was pretty happy with the set list we got (till I saw that Seattle set list damn)
My label is putting together a charity tribute to mewithoutYou. If anyone wants to contribute a track, just let me know.
It looks like Jeremy Bolm and Hayley Williams provided guest vocals in LA last night. Bolm on Torches Together and Williams on Fox’s Dream as custom. Hope there’s a video of the former! I’ll take one of the latter as well!
