Hmmm Ricky's comment on the instagram post () combined with the sound of a film reel running out at the end of the clip has be re-evaluating that this might be a filmed performance of Brother, Sister since they didn't get to do that tour. Didn't occur to me at first because I heard their manager on a podcast talk about how doing virtual live shows didn't really seem like the band's kinda "thing" but that was only a few months into the pandemic...
Rick posted a picture on IG of a China cymbal that he says he got specifically to play two hits on a 15 year old record. Coupled with Michael Lane (their sound guy) posting about finalizing his studio (the same place the boys have been practicing) it seems like a solid bet. Also IIRC they've only been playing B,S songs during the clips that have been posted
Yea that promo is dope. If they release a studio-live recording of them performing B/S, along with a video or something, that'd be great.
That would be really cool. I know they have a bunch of stuff recorded and they were going through some of it last year
They never released a vinyl version of A-B life in the same style as LP2, LP3, & LP4 right? Maybe that's getting a similar style of release.
They said they plan on doing all their albums like that. Feel like this is just going to be a livestream with a career-spanning set
Someone on reddit pointed out the video was posted at 6:18am today, teasing an announcement on 6/18/21 using lyrics from A -> B which came out on 6/18/2002 I'm guessing it's the collectors edition of A to B
one teaser includes a fishtower though. would be a weird choice if it's only about the collectors edition. possibly announcing the brother, sister tour at the same time?
Had a nice afternoon Ten Stories experience today. I think maybe it was the lossless audio? Regardless, it really hit different for me today.
