I feel bad for the guys and their families because you just know before they made that announcement about breaking up, they mentally prepared and came to resolution with 2020 being the “end” and now it’s nebulous and affecting their future plans. That obligation must be a heavy weight on their shoulders.
Biden's VP list narrows: Warren, Harris, Susan Rice, others Someone in Biden’s campaign a fan? Read paragraph four, lol
This part at the end of “Every Thought...” is so damn good: “Kul-anaya fir minh ka Abadan ahatman enna ajab Hayya'alal falal qad qamadis alah Haqq: la illaha il allah”
Had to do an avatar change. I legit can’t understand loving mewithoutYou and disliking this album, haha It’s seriously perfect.
It’s actually incredibly easy, lol. Remember, that album was written very differently from their others, starting w/ just Aaron for every track & then having the band throw some stuff on top. And, musically, it feels like that. It’s very much so an outlier creatively, for better or for worse. This band has always been as much about the music as it has about Aaron; for me, it’s ultimately about what the interplay between the two of ‘em. So, getting the one w/out the other replaced by something I find equally compelling... just ain’t for me.
I was actually thinking about you when I posted that, hahaha I’m mostly speaking in jest really, it’s not a big deal. I just love that album so damn much and wanted to express it. We all like what we like
I had a mewithoutYou dream again the other night. They out of nowhere just dropped a new 16-song album called “Boy Blue” and the album cover was white with two blue circle-ish shapes with white specks splashed on them. I don’t believe I listened to it, though.
It’s All Crazy has some incredible moments like that. The Angel of Death... and Goodbye, I! are also so good. It took quite a while for the album to grow on me, still isn’t one of my favourites but those moments send shivers down my spine.
I missed this, but will celebrate appropriately today. My favorite album of theirs too despite very good appeals by B/S & [Untitled]
Every record has something special. Pale Horses is the one that got me into them. I can't believe it took me so long to discover them. Red Cow and Dorothy are so insanely perfect!
