Apocalypses are a favorite subject of mine. What other music/books/tv/film about it do y’all like? I already mentioned Station Eleven, and evening though it’s not really an apocalypse, I’m going to throw The Leftovers in as my favorite tv series of all time.

There's this neat anthology called the Holy Bible that ends w/ a cool piece of apocalyptic literature called the Book of Revelation. I hear Aaron's taken some inspiration from it here & there. It's not one of my personal favs from the collection, but it's got some dope shit you might dig.

 

Sounds derivative.

 

Really, though, I read this graphic novel by Liz Suburbia a month or two ago called Sacred Heart that was awesome & is loosely relevant. It's more of a punk rock teen slice of life type story, w/ a lot of personality, but its backdrop is kinda quietly apocalyptic, which plays into the ending some. And, it's just a really great independent black & white comic w/ some fantastic cartooning.

For apocalyptic reading, I hear there’s this site called Twitter that can make you believe the end of the world is upon us in one minute or less.

 

Get your hands on this short story too. extra eerie now that we're all secluded in our homes.

I've always felt like Break on Through was a sequel to Son of a Widow from Foxes.

 

I think my supreme love for Julia comes from the fact that whenever it comes on, I'm always up for it. Not something I can say for all mwY tracks no matter how good they all are. Secondly, I'm a sucker for 1984 references.

These factors combined make it a top 5 mwY track for me for sure.

 

I think I remember Aaron making an personally important trip to Israel recently. Was that before Horses or Untitled? I wonder what his opinions are on the current landscape there particularly recently there’s been a lot of moving pieces.

Do either Horses or Untitled lyrics give us insight about any of that in yalls opinion?
