i don't understand most of pale horses, but its my fav album and MLD is a damn gem!

 

man this is makin me thirsty for a discog run through. blue hen is the best pale horses song and one of the best songs they ever wrote.

was just looking at my mwY playlist and laughed out loud to how many perfect songs they've written.

 

Nearly 100 perfect songs.

 

I never listened to these guys til like a week ago (I know, idk how that's possible either) listened to 10-15 songs and love it all, will start from the beginning soon.

Julia blew me away especially

 

I feel bad for not liking MLD as much as everyone else. Despite that, Pale Horses is my favorite album by them and a top 10 album in my list!

 

I’m feeling another major mewithoutYou kick happening soon. Like, a kick so major that I literally only listen to them for a few months and can’t stand anything else period.

These kicks happen sometimes.

 

I did a discography run last week. I know [Untitled] is the most intense mwY record, and maybe the darkest on a musical level, but man I don’t think they ever got bleaker than Pale Horses on a lyrical level. I love that record, but it is a hard listen. Especially in these times.

From the untitled era, off the top of my head, I’d put most of the EP and at least three songs from the LP above Julia

 

Winter Solstice is the best from the untitled era at positions 1 and 2 for both versions
