Yeah I kind of hate the untitled deluxe. Like I appreciate the effort that went into it, but it’s my least favorite of all their deluxe albums.
Brother, Sister tour postponed until later this year. Farewell tour will be in 2021. New or rearranged dates on their website. No word on whether the UK/EU summer tour will happen in the future.
They did the right thing. Honestly can't see concerts/events happening safely til 2021 right now. Epic bummer but it's what should be done.
I get the temptation to plan for a best case scenario, but yeah, July feels aggressively optimistic, lol. I'm sympathetic, as someone who's the head of a small summer church camp who had to have a hard conversation w/ the rest of our leadership about how we're gonna handle this summer. It's not easy coming to grips w/ the scale of this thing. But, yeah, I really hope the mewithoutYou crew, & their fanbase, are ready for nothing in 2020, which is very possible.
I had to break the news to my students last week about our big camp week being canceled in June. It was not fun. Definitely don't expect these shows to happen, which bums me out for these guys.
I must say that Magic Latern Days is the only song I dare to skip when listening to Pale Horses. It's not a bad song, but also not as strong as the rest of the album.
Magic Lantern Days feels like the emotional high point on Pale Horses. It’s the only remotely light moment on the record in addition to what Cameron said above. It took me a while to come around on it but it’s become one of the most essential songs on the record to me.
