Yeah, Aaron is going to get back into teaching from what I remember reading in an interview a month or so ago, I wouldn't be surprised if we got something from him several years from now but I also wouldn't be surprised if he never records another song again either.
I would take a class with him in a heartbeat. One of the strangest and most delightful men I've ever met.
I will get my PhD in urban education just to study under Aaron. I’m already getting my Bachelors in secondary ed, so it could happen.
Mike, Beaver and Greg will probably continue in music to varying degrees.Rainging from other projects to guest spots. I think Rick would have as well if it weren't for his health Aaron will probably become a teacher
Had a dream they played a show here and were gonna be hanging out in town an extra day so me and a couple friends just joined them on their tour bus and showed them around, it was fun lol
Aaron should host a retreat or a non-traditional conference. It would sell out immediately, play to all of his passions, and give him the opportunity to teach. He could bust out a guitar and play some songs as well. I am sure he won't, but it would be a great way to stay connected to the MWY audience, but in a format that makes sense to the person, he is now. A long-form podcast would also be a great avenue for him too.
finally saw them play carousels and i wasn't a big fan of the new verses. wish they'd bring back bonner fair
Idk if anyone was at the Philly show, but it should be illegal for them to play In a Sweater Poorly Knit not even one second after 9:27am, 9:27. The transition should not work as well as it did and now I'm a changed man
Apparently Aaron hates the album vocals/lyrics so now he sings something completely different for the verses. This is the only video I've found of it but Mike Almquist says he's been singing it differently since the Catch anniversary tour.
Only if it's called "mewithoutYou." I personally would kill for a new band post-mwY featuring 3-4 mwY alumni. It feels weird to say because Aaron is the best part of the band, but the rest of the band is great enough to not need him to make great music, even if it'd obviously be a different thing. That was the one disappointment about that fantastic Foxes tour. I love that song & was so bummed they didn't really perform it. I obviously respect his feelings about his own art & how he wants to express it, but the fan in me was sad.
