Even though I loved “it’s all crazy...” waiting for Ten Stories and then hearing that familiar louder screaming sound have me chills. Still does.
Finally caught them in Pittsburgh and the stripped down set was really nice but I definitely feel like I’m missing out on noisy, out of control mwy. Are they doing another tour before they say goodbye or is this it?
They’re doing a Brother, Sister tour and then a final tour. They’re expected to visit a few countries in between too. None of these things have been announced officially yet, just mentioned in their ‘announcement’ to say this is the final year.
i went with “c-minor” for the overt messaging in the chorus. Hoping that sucks him in for more. Then I’ll turn him towards highlights off of Foxes or just tell him to spin Pale Horses
I wish I saw them last night; between school, the wake of a friend's relative, and the fact that Worcester is inconvenient af, it just wasn't in the cards :( Gonna be regretting that for life
Brooklyn Steel show was great! Aaron was so sweet and happy mentioning Vasily in the audience. The band sounded tight but I saw Michael coughing a bit, hope he's not dealing with whatever sickness has been biting this tour. This was my second time seeing them in a support role and I've loved it every time but always left wanting more. Going to have to do my darndest to see a final headlining show!
being on tour and sick sounds like a nightmare. props to these guys for sticking it out. hope it doesn't keep getting passed around.
I wonder what kind of musical projects the members might be involved with once the band ends. A long time ago - maybe around the Ten Stories era - someone posted about the band joining forces with Kevin Devine and letting Aaron retire, which was an interesting idea that I can’t figure out if it would work.
I’d also love the Weiss Family Band to come back but yeah I can’t imagine Aaron wanting to be there again
