Mattresses was my gateway into Color Revolt. It was one of three tracks up on their myspace page. Their MYSPACE people!
They do! The triple guitar attack/assault is the best part. Also they have a small catalog so really easy to dive in.
In the event that anyone missed my post saying I thought I caught some children's book references, I saw this post in a Facebook fan group from David Daugherty who wrote those huge annotated PDFs for Ten Stories and Pale Horses The fact that my favourite band has a hungry caterpillar reference in a song is just beautiful to me.
so we got a lot of marital references on pale horses, maybe this record will pertain more to him now having a daughter
Got an [A->B] Life remastered vinyl (melted noise /500) and a Tie Dye Signs [pt. Two] shirt ordered today, woop woop
If they were expected in-house in the next couple of weeks it'd be much more of an issue - they've had problems with production delays in the past so I'd say those aren't even close to ready. Will be worth the wait I'm sure!
Daaaaannng. That chorus is the most chaotic thing this band has done since A -> B Life. Here. For. It.
I'm listening to Fletcher atm which is Colour Revolt before they changed their name. Interesting record. Called Friends Don't Speak.
Nice great idea! I've done that a couple of times over the last few weeks. I still need to listen to those Daytrotter Sessions you shared in the band thread. Edit: Have you heard the Fletcher record? It's rough around the edges but still interesting to see where they started from.
