I love Cities of the Plain, but I could do without the nearly two minutes of ambient noise at the start. Otherwise a flawless track. Such a great build.
Hey, I'm really sorry you feel like that but also thankful that these guys are creating music that keeps you alive. Please know that even though we're just avatars on a screen, I'm very thankful you're alive and have appreciated your thoughts about mewithoutYou over the last few months. I know we live in different countries but I can still firmly say that your life is important and we're all glad you are here and we can enjoy the music together. I'm sorry you've been going through a tough time to the point where you feel bad. Keep going. We're here for you if you want to talk. Thinking of you today.

Fuck this is so good. Aaron’s lower register sounds a lot like Jeremy Enigk and some of the guitar parts remind me of This Will Destroy You (or something along those lines) while still being 100% mewithoutYou. I’d agree with you except that the intro will forever remind me of the promo video they used on their website to announce the album...and for that, it’s all awesome.
We gave up on our dreams for those projected on screens That had already passed me by With further suffering found in our insufferable sounds And the thought in the back of my mind: “does my misery feed a metaphysical need That’s long since passed me by
