Pale Horses again this morning lol, then the new EP which was incredible. Gonna go through Brother, Sister and Foxes when I get home later.
About to do a full discog run myself. Wish me luck. Not that I need any luck to get through mwY's discography, I just like being wished luck no matter the circumstance.
on Saturday I walked down my street in the misting rain listening to "Son of a Widow" and it was a very nice experience
Actually, I'm currently listening to "Fig With a Bellyache" so this was very appropriate to read right now.
Was this in Louisville? I forget if it was the first show they came back for after he passed away, or one of the first shows. It was really beautiful and emotional, either way.
Oh, I'm not sure when they played it for literally the first time after. I just remember when they played it here in Dallas for the first time after.
Oh man. "Cattail Down" is simply one of the most underrated mewithoutYou songs out there. Definitely my favorite from It's All Crazy! "King Beetle" and "Timothy Hay" aren't too far behind.
I bawled crying at 'Allah Allah Allah' live once. It wasn't even really the song, but all the crowd jumping on stage and everyone just having an incredible time. It was so freeing.
I also just realized every mwY album beside Brother, Sister and Pale Horses has that epic "ending" song as a penultimate track. Like "Carousels," "King Beetle" and "Bear's Vision" are followed up by "Son of a Widow," "Allah Allah Allah," and "All Circles". Then "The Cure for Pain" has that hidden track. Very random observation.
According to their Instagram they will also put up copies of the deluxe in their EU/UK store soon, for folks like me who balked at the high shipping cost from the US.
I ordered the white collector's edition bundle, mostly because I wanted the prints of the artwork (in addition to the vinyl of course). Not sure what I'll do with the patch or the buttons, but the shirt is pretty cool.
