I'm still saving up for a nice record player, these things are 200g, right? I think that's the heaviest in my whole collection.
What kind of record player are you aiming for? Asking out of curiosity as I will be in the market next year too. Been thinking "U-turn" recently.
Uturn is a good starter one. I’d upgrade the cart if you can to the ortofone 2m red if you can squeeze it and the acrylic platter as well. If you have a stereo with phono inputs you don’t need the preamp, but I’d you only have aux inputs you’ll have to add the preamp or find an external one otherwise you won’t be able to hear it. the LP-120 is also a good one, as well. Really anything as long as it has a counter balance arm and anti skate on the tone arm should be decent to good enough. I don’t really recommend anything that doesn’t have either of those features
I don’t have the audiophile ear to really tell what’s great quality compared to normal so I legit just go for whichever one looks the coolest, haha
